LG XNote T1 - slimmest 14″ Core Duo laptop

in: Uncategorized

“Thin” is the new “cool” in mobile phones. This trend, started with the introduction and success of Motorola RAZR cellphones and taken to the new level by Samsung is now moving to the laptops. And Korean vendors are leading the way.

LG Xnote T1

Last February Samsung boasted about the worlds thinnest 14.1″ Core Duo laptop - Samsung X11. But just as in the cellphone market LG is right behind. And with the introduction of LG XNote T1 Designers edition, the title of “thinnest and lightest” 14.1″ Core Duo laptop goes to them. LG XNote T1 comes with:

Intel Core Duo L2300 1.5 GHz processor
512 MB - 4GB 1GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM
60 or 80 GB 4200 RPM PATA HDD
14.1″ WXGA 1280×800 or WXGA+ 1440×900 display
Super Multi DL Drive
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Fingerprint sensor, TPM and HDD security
5 in 1 memory card slot
6 or 9 cell Li-ion battery

LG XNote T1 may not be the fastest laptop around what with 1.5 LV Core Duo chip and 4200 rpm PATA hard drive but it is the most portable 14″ laptop around. LG XNote T1 is only 21 mm (0.83 inch) thick and weights just 1.9 kg (4.2 lbs). And it surely looks good.
