Toshiba seems to be very modest with the introduction of new Core Duo ultraportables. While others like Asus, Fujitsu or HP Compaq try to use every possible media outlet to announce their Core Duo ultraportable new releases, Toshiba just quietly puts them up on their site.
Maybe they don’t want to steal the limelight from their HD DVD Qosmios or maybe they just want us to be more diligent and find them on our own. Well, they might be right. We already found Toshiba Satellite U200 sitting in the consumer section on their site and now there’s another one.
In addition to consumer oriented Satellite U200, Toshiba also started offering Tecra M6 ultraportable business notebook. Toshiba Tecra M6 is almost the same Satellite ultraportable with some additional security options added to it. Entry level Centrino Duo Tecra M6 costs $1289 and has:

Again like with U200, entry level Toshiba Tecra M6 specs are pretty lame. But we could not find another business ultraportable selling for less then $1500 so if your boss is a Scrooge this might be your only choice.
