Unlike X60 Core Duo Tablet PC, that took almost a year to get launched after the first leaks have appeared on the net, Lenovo ThinkPad X61 Santa Rosa based tablet PC will see the light pretty soon.
A draft of the Lenovo X61 Tablet PC announcement letter has prematurely appeared on the on IBM site and was promptly spotted by Tablet PC review.

The letter was meant to be kept confidential until May 31st and states that Lenovo ThinkPad X61 Tablet PC will be available in June. It also has all the specs and configurations for it.
Lenovo ThinkPad X61 will feature:
- Intel Core 2 Duo L7300 (1.40 GHz, 4M L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB) or
- Intel Core 2 Duo L7300 (1.40 GHz, 4M L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB)
- 12.1″ XGA (1024×768) or SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) TFT LCD
- 512MB- 2GB of 667 MHZ DDR2 SDRAM
- 80 - 160 GB 5400 rpm or 100 GB 7200 rpm SATA HDD
- Intel GMA X3100 Integrated Graphics
- Wi-Fi a/b/g or a/g/n
- Bluetooth
- Integrated Fingerprint Reader
- Dimensions: 274 mm x 244 mm (10.8 x 9.6 in)
- Weight: 1.7 kg (3.76 lbs)
X60 Tablet was already among the best designed and specked Tablet PCs around. Therefore no significant design alterations are expected for Lenovo X61 Tablet PC.
