If you are looking for a tablet PC that doesn’t break, isn’t afraid of sun, dust or rain, rugged laptops are the way to go. And Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 is among the best in this category.

Announced last November, Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 was not available for sale in the U.S. until now. But today FCC has issued an approval notice for it and you can start looking for Toughbook 30 online. Just be ready to shell out some serious bucks for it.

The cheapest version of Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 costs $3200 and features:

  • Intel® Core™ Duo Processor L2400
  • 13.3″ XGA 1000 nit NON-Touch Screen
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 80 GB HDD
  • Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG 802.11a/b/g

As you can see, the cheapest Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 has some pretty basic specs and a serious price premium for toughness.

And if you are really ready to a lot of money, for $7900 you can get specked out Toughbook CF-30 with:

  • Intel® Core™ Duo Processor L2400
  • 13.3″ XGA 1000 nit Touch Screen
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 80GB HDD
  • DVD Multi Drive
  • Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG 802.11a/b/g
  • Integrated HSDPA or EVDO modem
  • Sealed Rubber Backlit Keyboard

Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 carries some significant mark-up for it’s toughness. But price increase gives an almost indestructible notebook, that can be operated in the most extreme conditions.
